Top priority: All Democrats need to see AS SOON AS POSSIBLE on broadcast, cable, and streaming that John Cavanaugh, born and raised in Omaha, has dedicated himself to defending our shared values. John is the only candidate with a proven record of standing up to Donald Trump and MAGA extremists to lower taxes on working families, block a total abortion ban, and protect our Blue Dot. In Congress, we know we can trust John to reduce the cost of living and lower health care costs, protect Social Security and Medicare, and put an end to Trump’s tariffs and corruption.

Mail and early voting in Nebraska is ROBUST. The timing of mail MUST take that into consideration for those who typically vote early or have requested a ballot. 

All registered Democrats who have voted in at least two of the last three primaries need to read about John. Mail that accounts for when mail ballots go out and early vote begins is priority.

Mail message for all registered Democrats:

1. Economy/Lower Costs: Prices for food, health care, housing, child care, and now gas have all risen because of Trump and job growth is stagnant. John opposes the Trump tariffs and in Congress will fight to lower the cost of living and create new good-paying jobs.

   In the legislature, John passed a bill to eliminate the sales tax on diapers, sponsored bills to reduce property taxes and give Nebraskans help buying their first home, and blocked sales tax increases on groceries. In Washington, he will hold corporations accountable for price gouging, cut taxes for working people instead of billionaires, and make it easier to build new homes more affordably.

2. Economy/Health Care: John Cavanaugh believes access to affordable, quality health care is a basic right and has consistently fought to defend coverage for Nebraska families struggling to make ends meet. Now, with Trump and MAGA Republicans cutting a trillion dollars from Medicaid, and raising health care premiums for millions of hard working Americans, John Cavanaugh sponsored an emergency plan in the State Legislature for the State of Nebraska to prevent premiums from skyrocketing for thousands of Nebraska families.

3. Corruption: John Cavanaugh knows corruption controls Washington and it’s holding us back. Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans have rigged the system. That’s why Democrats are for John Cavanaugh. Cavanaugh is refusing contributions from corporate PACs in his campaign for Congress, will sponsor legislation to ban Members of Congress from trading stocks, will not trade any stocks himself, and supports a constitutional amendment to prevent billionaires from buying our elections. John is the ONLY candidate in this race endorsed by End Citizens United, a group leading the fight against Big Money in politics.

FOR SENIORS: 

• Social Security: Social Security and Medicare are sacred promises made to generations of workers. Cavanaugh will fight Trump and the MAGA Republicans in Congress who are making cuts to Social Security and Medicare. He’ll also fight those who want to privatize Social Security and gamble guaranteed monthly benefits in the stock market. Cavanaugh sponsored legislation that ended state income taxes on Social Security benefits, and he's endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Social Security Works.
